antique pennies from the 1850s



I really dig the antique penny. I never knew there ever was such a thing. I just assumed the penny was the penny with different faces way back when. I didn't know they were a whole other money experience. They're really thick like a quarter but more dense and with a think rim. They're fun to flick into the air with your thumb and catch and I imagine the kid that was thrilled back then to have one. These are my husband's from the 1850s. I asked if I could have one and he said yes. :)
