P. S. After Monday I'll be offline for a few weeks. . .

I just watched the total mindfreak episode of this week's Lost (the show that will get me through my temporary Dexterless desert of existence). By the way --I know Honolulu like the back of my hand and it's wild to see them use locations all over the island cut together as one scene. I kinda like knowing where almost every scene is shot. I'm not sure it's as much fun for the people watching with me, though. . .

Right after the weirdness of the show I saw that I got another call from Colorado --fourth night in a row, same time of night --never leaves a message --but every time, the next day without my doing anything there is no trace of the call on my caller i.d. Maybe it just replaces itself with each call?

Dusted off the juicer given to me a while back and made my own green drink like I've been wanting to do for years. I'm playing it cool but this is a really big deal. It was super good, too (recipe of the doctor who's always on Oprah: kale, ginger, apples, celery, cucumber).

I bought a lot of cool new foods today
one of them --agave nectar to try in tea.

I've been living in this art assignment for weeks.
It's changed my life forever.
I almost married an artist back in the day and my mom is an artist. One of the things that broke my heart in the relationship with the artist is that all of my life I've never experienced what my mom does in front of a painting at a museum. She has an experience of wonder and I don't. I just don't get it.

Until now.
I can't quite put it into words --but I've been brought through the looking glass. This was my whole hope doing this program in school and it's come true.
P.S. Here's one of the paintings of my project:

My friend invited us out to dinner and it turned out to be a birthday celebration that he had made sound all casual. I felt honored to be invited, though will know for sure about him from now on not to assume that just because the invitation sounds casual that the actual dinner will be. . .

We ended up going over to their house afterwards. . .
I have a busy week coming up so pictures of the day for the next few days will be of the birthday night.

This open case of hot sauce was on our porch when I got up this morning (turned out our chef friend had ordered it special for my husband to take to work) but I thought --interesting.

A picture my husband took yesterday.
I like the happy sun that seems placed just so.

I was completely mesmirized by this as a kid.
I think somehow I felt that maybe my future husband was somehow connected to the end of the extension cord. . .

This was a little bit down from the polling place today. I liked the texture and chunkiness of the wood. I'm not totally happy with this picture but my battery died and the camera shut down completely or I would've tried to do a different lighting or angle or something. Oh well.

I can't remember a time when I didn't know the music of Creedence. It's just always been in my life.

I forgot to take a picture yesterday --though I did see some dogs with dollars in their collars for an animal charity of some sort that I thought would make a good one but didn't get the vibe that the owners would like it. . .

Then later I slammed my food (er foot) into the solid wood stairway in our house about to run upstairs for something. My husband convinced me my toe wasn't broken (It bent funny, but I guess it always does and I never really noticed. ). I wasn't completely convinced my toe was really fine until well into the next day. . .

I didn't realize at the time that this came out so blurry :(
I still love the colors.
