My husband has the camera a few days.
I went to a lot of local Green Day shows before they hit it big (This isn't saying much, because they apparently played everywhere and anywhere that they could.). The lead singer B.J. is pretty twitchy when he sings live which they never seem to ahem, catch on camera nowadays.
This shows it a little.
My Generation of Music:

I still think of them as just some guys I knew (though I'm happy for them). I see no icons of music --but they were good and everybody else just got to find out too.
Then I saw this one day. It's totally Green Day: the crowd, the twitchy and (fakingly) bug-eyed lead singer, the black hair. Surreal. But in completely copying Green Day (whether intentional or not), it's its own thing altogether. I have to say --I'm actually impressed. Also, it's the first time I've ever seen first-hand that the music torch has truly been passed to the next generation. I'm surprised that I really don't mind it much. But also, what's replacing it is really a step beyond and it's always easier for me to let go of what is for something even better. . .

P.S. I hope this all makes sense. It's really early.
