Last night at the magical candystore we meant to buy chocolate with chili peppers but instead bought chocolate with black pepper (and strawberries). Trying some, my mouth felt very confused. It was the weirdest food experience I think I've ever had. I tried it again this morning first thing and didn't mind it so much. . . But then I knew what to expect this time. . .

Ate at a very hip "Californian cuisine" place. The staff was very casually dressed. The guy who seated us was wearing a t-shirt, canvas long shorts and bright green crocks. The food was ackward to eat at times but I had a really good time. . .

Afterwards we walked around and went to a candy shop that went on for days!

Today I finally saw what I've heard about for so long. . . the goats that get carted around to eat grass on the side of the freeways. . .
What a cool job!

Goats!

There is a large bucket of water out for the goats (to the left just outside this picture).

At one point the guy in the trailer brought out a dog to herd the goats out of the way of his weedwacking in an area to the far right as yet untouched by goat lips. . .

It worked. . . I've never seen such herd mentality. One goat freaks out and they all follow.

After a good long while, one sees no sign of the dog anymore and heads for water. When it seems safe a few more cautiously follow. . .

Until all is back to normal again on Goat Hill.

I like goats.I like to get to see them where I normally wouldn't.

I went to the fair tonight!
I had a funnel cake with strawberries and whipped cream (or as much as I could stand). Then I had a deep-fried twinkie and a deep-fried snickers bar for the first time finally. Loved the snickers, eh on the twinkie. Then I felt sick.
